East Lancashire Road/Barton Road, (bus gate), Salford

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The proposed order will introduce a bus gate, reserved lane for buses and cycles only on:

A580 East Lancashire Road, Westbound (towards Leigh) on that area of carriageway treated as a turning lane marked by relevant road markings and signs from a point 13 metres west of its junction with the western projected kerbline of Runnymeade in a westerly direction to its junction with Barton Road, including the gap in the central reservation between the westbound and eastbound carriageways.

The bus gate will operate at all times. Existing orders are to be amended to be consistent with the above proposals. 

A copy of the proposed order together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am. and 5.00pm. Mondays to Fridays.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing by 16 December 2016 (quoting ref L/AFOUT1093/396).
