East Ordsall Lane

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make the City of Salford (East Ordsall Lane and Stevenson Street) (Prohibition of Driving Except For Access) Order 2023 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the proposed order will be as follows:

Prohibition of driving except for access on:

  • East Ordsall Lane from a point 77.5m south of the south westerly projected kerbline of Stevenson Street, to a point 12m south west of the south-westerly projected kerbline of Clermont Way.
  • Stevenson Street from a point 37.2m south of the south westerly projected kerbline of James Street to East Ordsall Lane.

Existing orders are to be amended to be consistent with the above proposals.

A copy of the proposed order together with the plans and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Alternatively write in to the address below or email the council for a copy of the documents placed on deposit.

Objections to the proposal must be sent in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or c/o Fiona Ledden, City Solicitor PO Box 532, Town Hall, Manchester, M60 2LA, stating the grounds on which they are made, no later than 19 February 2023 (quoting reference L/AF/OUT1093/1069).
