Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to construct road humps in the length of the road specified in the Schedule below. If no objections are received, road humps will be constructed on the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below after 31 March 2017.

1. Road Humps

75mm high (+/- 15mm), 3.7 metres in length and the full width of the carriageway.

Three sets of round top road humps – The midpoint of the round top humps are located as follows:

Edward Avenue

  • 5 metres west of its junction with the westerly projected kerbline of Weaste Lane.
  • 145 metres west of its junction with the westerly projected kerbline of Weaste Lane.
  • 249 metres west of its junction with the westerly projected kerbline of Weaste Lane.

2. Speed cushions

75mm high (+/- 15mm), 3.7 metres in length, 1.7 metres wide and constructed with shallow approach ramps, with gradients no steeper than 1:10.

Two sets of Triple Speed Cushions – The midpoint of the speed cushions are located as follows;

Edward Avenue

  • 78 metres west of its junction with the westerly projected kerbline of Weaste Lane.
  • 186 metres west of its junction with the westerly projected kerbline of Weaste Lane.

A copy of the proposed Order, a plan of the area and statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.
