Residents Parking Order 2016

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order will be to introduce the following restrictions:

  1. No waiting at any time, on:

Irwell Grove

  • South east side, from a point 36 metres south west of the westerly kerbline of Irwell Avenue, for a distance of 34 metres in a south westerly direction.
  1. Residents Parking Places (Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm) on:

Alma Street

  • South east side, from a point 13.7 metres south east of its junction with Barton Lane, for a distance of 121.3 metres in a south easterly direction.
  • South west side, from a point 13.7 metres south east of its junction with Barton Lane, for a distance of 121.3 metres in a south easterly direction.

The Grove

  • North east side, from its junction with Irwell Grove, for its entire length to its cul-de-sac end.
  • South west side, from its junction with Irwell Grove, for its entire length to its cul-de-sac end.

Irwell Grove

  • North west side, from the westerly kerbline of Irwell Avenue in a south westerly direction to its junction with The Grove.
  • South east side, from the western kerbline of Irwell Avenue, for a distance of 36 metres in a south westerly direction.
  • South east side, from a point 70 metres south west of the western kerbline of Irwell Avenue to its junction with The Grove.

Eligibility for parking permits

  • Residents and businesses at all properties listed in the schedule to this notice who meet the qualifying criteria will be eligible to apply for a residents parking permit at a cost of £50 per annum. Residents at all properties listed in the schedule to this notice who meet the qualifying criteria will also be eligible to apply for a visitor’s parking permit. Carer’s parking permit - residents that require essential care and support on a regular basis may be eligible to apply for a carer’s parking permit. Please contact the City Council for further information.

  • Properties numbered 1 to 43 (odd numbers)
  • Properties numbered 2 to 44 (even numbers)

The Grove

  • Properties numbered 1,3,7 (odd numbers)
  • Irwell House

Irwell Grove

  • Properties numbered 13 to 47 (odd numbers)
  • Properties numbered 14 to 34 (even numbers)

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.
