New Bailey Street

Proposed waiting restrictions  

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The proposed order seeks to introduce: 

Proposed no waiting and no loading at any time on:

New Bailey Street

  • South west side, from its junction with southern kerbline of Chapel Street in a south east direction to its junction with the north western kerbline of Gore Street.
  • From its junction with the south eastern kerbline of Gore Street in a south east direction for 14m.
  • From a point 45m south east from its junction with the south eastern kerbline of Gore Street in a south east direction to a point 16m north west with the boundary with Manchester City Council.
  • North east side, from its junction with the southern kerbline of Chapel Street in a south east direction for 38m.
  • From a point 28m north west from the junction with the north western kerbline of Browncross Street in a south east direction for 44m.
  • From a point 76m south east from the junction with the south eastern kerbline of Browncross Street in a south east direction to the boundary with Manchester City Council.

Browncross Street 

  • Both sides from its junction with the north west kerbline of New Bailey Street in a north east direction to its junction with the projected north eastern kerbline of Spaw Street.

Stanley Street 

  • North west side from its junction with the south western kerbline of New Bailey Street in a south east direction for 50m.
  • South east side from its junction with the south western kerbline of New Bailey Street in a south west direction for 13m.  

Proposed no loading Monday to Saturday 7am to 10am and Monday to Friday 4pm to 6pm

New Bailey Street:

  • North east side from its junction with the southern kerbline of Chapel Street in a south easterly direction for 38m. South west side.
  • From its junction with the southern kerbline of Chapel Street in a south easterly direction to its junction with the north western kerbline of Gore Street.
  • From a point 45m south east from its junction with the south eastern kerbline of Gore Street in a south easterly direction for 53m.

Pay and display parking places, width 3m - 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12.30pm on Saturday 

New Bailey Street:

  • North east side from a point 9m north east of the projected south eastern kerbline of Browncross Street in a south easterly direction for 24m (four bays).
  • From a point 51m south east of its junction with the projected south eastern kerbline of Browncross Street in a south easterly direction for 24m (four bays).

Proposed loading parking place - Monday to Sunday 24 hours, maximum stay one hour

New Bailey Street:

  • North east side from a point 33m south east from the projected eastern kerbline of Browncross Street in a south easterly direction for 18m. 

A copy of the proposed order together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays.
