The existing ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions no longer serve a purpose within the new highway alignment. Their removal and introduction of amended restrictions will improve the amenity of the area by allowing motorists to occupy the new parking provision available.
At present, new parking lay-bys have been constructed and the pre-development ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions remain on site running along sections of the lay-by preventing vehicles from occupying the bays.
The proposal to remove the ‘No Waiting’ restrictions will allow motorists to make full use of the parking provision available, improving the amenity of the area.
As the highway alignment has changed since the ‘No Waiting’ restrictions were first introduced, there is no justification for them to remain as they no longer serve a purpose.
