It is anticipated that there will be additional short-term parking in the vicinity of a new SCREW-FIX on the Oakhill Trading Estate. Therefore, it is proposed to implement additional waiting restrictions (No Waiting at Any Time) on the adjacent junction area.
This will reduce the opportunities for customers to park in an obstructive or inconsiderate manner that may otherwise impact access and egress for businesses in the vicinity, particularly those that require deliveries by larger vehicles.
Additionally, the provision of a Goods Only Loading Bay, a suitable distance away from the junction, will ensure the business will be able to operate effectively without compromising highway safety.
The proposals overall are designed to maintain sight line and facilitate safe access and egress for all vehicles in the vicinity of the new business. This will also assist existing businesses and maintain general highway safety.
