Oldfield Road/Barrow Street

Proposed waiting restrictions, loading restrictions and loading bay – Oldfield Road and Barrow Street, Salford   

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The proposed order seeks to introduce:

No waiting at any time on: 

Oldfield Road

  • East side from its junction with the southern kerbline of Chapel Street in a southerly direction to its junction with the north eastern kerbline of James Street. 

Barrow Street

  • North side including the turning head from its junction with the North eastern kerbline of Wroe Street in a north westerly, southerly and south easterly direction for a distance of 43m.
  • South side from a point 50m west of its junction with Islington Way in a north westerly direction to a point 14m north west from the projected north western kerbline of Wroe Street. 

Proposed no loading at any time on: 

Oldfield Road 

  • East side from its junction with the southern kerbline of Chapel Street in a southerly direction to its junction with the north eastern kerbline of James Street. 

Proposed vehicle loading/unloading parking place with width two metres. All days and Hours on:

Barrow Street

  • South side from a point 14m north west from its junction with the projected north western kerbline of Wroe Street in a north westerly direction for a distance of 18m. 

Existing orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with the proposals. 

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.
