Rutland Street area

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council hereby proposes to make the following order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Proposed No Waiting At Any Time on:

Sutherland Street

  • The north west side, from its junction with the north eastern projected kerbline of Chorley Road for its entire length in a north easterly direction.
  • The south east side from its junction with the north eastern projected kerbline with Chorley Road for a distance of 10m in a north easterly direction.
  • The south east side from a point 22m north eastern projected kerbline of its junction with Chorley Road for a distance of 9m in a north easterly direction.
  • The south east side from a point 58.5m north eastern projected kerbline of its junction with Chorley Road for a distance of 13.8m in a north easterly direction.
  • The south east side from a point 89.5m north eastern projected kerbline of its junction with Chorley Road for a distance of 8.5m then 4.5m in a north easterly then westerly direction.

Rutland Street

  • Both sides from its junction with the north western projected kerbline of Sutherland Street for a distance of 15m in a north westerly direction.
  • The north east side from a point 54.3m north west of its junction with the north western projected kerbline of Sutherland Street for a distance of 3.6m in a north westerly direction.
  • The south west side from a point 62m north west of its junction with the north western projected kerbline of Sutherland Street for a distance of 47m in a north westerly direction.
  • The north west side from a point 80m north west of its junction with the north west projected kerbline of Sutherland Street for a distance of 27.3m in a north westerly direction.
  • The south west side from a point 21m south east of its junction with the south eastern projected kerbline of Cemetery Road South for a distance of 6.5m in a south easterly direction.
  • Both sides from its junction with the south eastern projected kerbline of Cemetery Road for a distance of 15m south in a south easterly direction.

Elm Street

  • The north west side from its junction with the north east projected kerbline of Chorley Road for a distance of 10m in a north easterly direction.
  • The south east side from its junction with the north eastern projected kerbline of Chorley Road for a distance of 22m in a north easterly direction.
  • The north west side from a point 22m north of its junction with the north east projected kerbline of Chorley Road for a distance of 15m in a north easterly direction.
  • The north west side from a point 52m north east from its junction with the north east projected kerbline of Chorley Road to its junction with the south western kerbline of Rutland Street in a north easterly direction.
  • The south east side from its junction with the south western projected kerbline of Rutland Street for a distance of 11m in a south westerly direction.

Cemetery Road South

  • The north west side, from its junction with Chorley Road to its southern junction with Hamilton Street in a north easterly direction.
  • The south east side from its junction with the north east projected kerbline of Chorley Road for a distance of 10m in a north easterly direction.
  • The south east side, from a point 15m south of its junction with the south western extended kerbline of Rutland Street to a point 15m south of its southern junction with Cromwell Road.

Chorley Road (A6)

  • North east side from a point 10m south east of the junction with Cemetery Road to a point 16m north west of the junction with Cemetery Road.

Proposed No Waiting Monday to Saturday between 8am and 4pm on:

Elm Street

  • The south east side from a point 22m north east of its junction with the north east projected kerbline of Chorley Road (A6) to a point 11m south of its junction with the south western projected kerbline of Rutland Street in a north easterly direction. 

Proposed No Waiting Monday to Saturday between 7.30am and 6.30pm on:

Chorley Road

  • North eastern side, from the junction with Abbey Drive to a point 10m south east of the junction with Cemetery Road.
  • South west side, from the junction with Abbey Drive to a point 10m east of the junction with Cemetery Road.

Proposed Limited Waiting Parking Place Operative 24 hours Monday to Sunday Waiting limited to 30 minutes. No return within one hour on:

Sutherland Street

  • South east side from a point 10m north east of its junction with the north east projected kerbline of Chorley Road (A6) for a distance of 12m in a north easterly direction.
  • South east side from a point 31m north east of its junction with the north east projected kerbline of Chorley Road (A6) for a distance of 27.5m in a north easterly direction.
  • South east from a point 72.3m north east of its junction with the north east projected kerbline of Chorley Road (A6) for a distance of 17.2m in a north easterly direction.

Proposed Limited Waiting Parking Place. Operative 24 hours Monday to Sunday Waiting limited to two hours. No return within one hour on:

Elm Street

  • South east side from a point 10m north east of its junction with the north east projected kerbline of Chorley Road A6 for a distance of 12m in a north easterly direction.
  • North west side from a point 37m north east of its junction with the north east projected kerbline of Chorley Road (A6) for a distance of 15m in a north easterly direction.

The proposed order will introduce 20 designated off-street parking places, with 2m width. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm three hours. No Return within three hours in the Elm Street Car Park Swinton.

Existing orders will be amended to be consistent with proposals.

A copy of the proposed order together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday. 

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing by 6 June 2019 (quoting ref L/TG/OUT1093/731).
