South Ordsall area

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes make the following order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.  

The effect of the order will be to introduce the following provisions:

No waiting at any time 

Weedall Avenue

  • West side, from a point 98m east / north east of Craven Drive, for a distance of 13m in a north easterly and then north westerly direction.

Gledhill Avenue

  • North side, from a point 50m east of Craven Drive, to its eastern extent.
  • South side, from a point 75m east of Craven Drive to its eastern extent, including the entire length of the turning head on the southern side of Gledhill Avenue.

Craven Drive

  • South west side, from a point 364m north east of Ordsall Lane, for a distance of 13m in a north westerly direction.

Lord Napier Drive

  • North side, from a point 89m east of Craven Drive, for 18.5m in an easterly direction.

Pomona Crescent

  • West side, from Lord Napier Drive for 15m in a south easterly and then north easterly direction.
  • West side, from Lord Napier Drive for 15m in a south easterly and then south westerly direction.

Paris Avenue

  • East side, from a point 34.5m south west of Lord Napier Drive for a distance of 33.5m is a south westerly and then south easterly direction.
  • South side, from a point 62m south west and south east of Lord Napier Drive, for a distance of 21m in a south easterly direction.

Hillgate Avenue

  • North east side, from Ordsall Drive for a distance of 18.6m in a north westerly direction.
  • North east side, the entire extent of the turning head opposite number eight and number ten Guy Fawkes Street.

Guy Fawkes Street

  • North east side, from Ordsall Drive for a distance of 59m in a north westerly direction.

Gratrix Avenue

  • South east side, from a point 26.5m north east of St Clement’s Drive, for a distance of 42m in a north easterly direction.
  • South east side, from a point 87.5 m north east of St Clement’s Drive in a north easterly direction to the cul-de-sac end, including the entire length of the turning head on the south eastern side of Gratrix Avenue.

Fairbrother Street

  • Both sides, full length.

Jennings Avenue

  • East side, from Phoebe Street for 19m in a north easterly direction.
  • East side, from a point 40.5m north of Phoebe Street in a north easterly direction to Cutter Close.
  • West side, from  Phoebe Street for 35m in a north easterly direction.
  • North side, from Stern Avenue for 5m in a south easterly direction.
  • North side, from Stern Avenue for 5m in a north westerly direction.
  • South side, from Summerseat Close for 5m in a south easterly direction.
  • South side, from Summerseat Close for 5m in a north westerly direction.

Stern Avenue

  • Both sides, from Jennings Avenue for 5m in a north easterly direction.

Summerseat Close

  • Both sides, from Jennings Avenue for 10m in a south westerly direction.

It is proposed that the operating days and times of the Limited Waiting Parking Places specified below - currently in effect ‘At All Times, with Waiting Limited to two hours, no return within three hours’ are amended so that they are in effect. 

From 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, Waiting Limited to four hours, no return within three hours:

Hulton Street 

  • From a point 78.5m west of West Craven Street to a point 5.5m east of West Craven Street
  • From a point 12.2m east of West Craven Street for 36m in an easterly direction
  • From 55.7m east of West Craven Street for 38.8m in an easterly direction
  • From 101.4m east of West Craven Street for 40m in a easterly direction
  • From 148.9m east of West Craven Street for 51.3m in an easterly direction.

A copy of the proposed order together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday. 

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing by 7 May 2019 (quoting ref L/TG/OUT1093/727).
