The titles and effect of the proposed orders will be as follows.
Proposed no waiting at any time on:
Winchester Road, Eccles: South west side, from a point 8 metres south of south eastern extended kerb line of Hereford Road, in a south easterly direction for a distance of 23 metres. North east side, from the southern extended kerb line of Hereford Road, in a south easterly direction for a distance of 18 metres.
Hereford Road, Eccles: South and east side, the extended north eastern kerb line of Winchester Road, in a north easterly direction for a distance of 14m.
Manchester Road, Swinton Park: South side, from a point 15m west of the extended western kerb line of Dorchester Road to a point 15m east of the eastern extended kerb line of Dorchester Road.
Dorchester Road, Swinton Park: West side, from the southern extended kerb line of Manchester Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 15m. West side, from a point 36.5m south of southern extended kerb line of Manchester Road in a southerly direction to a point 26.5m south of the south eastern extended kerb line of Princess Street. East side, from the southern extended kerb line of Manchester Road for a distance of 89.7m in a southerly direction. East side, from a point 95.7m south of the southern extended kerb line of Manchester Road for a distance of 27.6m in a southerly direction.
Princess Street, Swinton Park: North west side, from the western extended kerb line of Dorchester Road in a south westerly direction for a distance of 23.5m. South east side, from the western extended kerb line of Dorchester Road in a south westerly direction for a distance of 18.3m.
Overdale, Swinton Park: South side, from a point 101m south west of the western extended kerb line of Barton Road for a distance of 16.5m in a south westerly direction. Both sides, from a point 155.5m south west of the western extended kerb line of Barton Road for a distance of 23m in a south westerly direction.
Proposed goods vehicle loading/unloading on:
Dorchester Road: From a point 89.7m south of the southern extended kerb line of Manchester Road for a distance of 6m in a southerly direction.
Proposed disabled persons parking places on:
South Avenue: From a point 10m east of the eastern extended kerb line of Folly Lane, in an easterly direction for a distance of 6.6m. at a width of 2.7m.
The above order is amended by the inclusion of the following restrictions.
Proposed no waiting at any time on:
South Avenue: North side, from the eastern extended kerb line of Folly Lane, in an easterly direction for a distance of 10m. south side, from the eastern extended kerb line of Folly Lane, in an easterly direction for a distance of 20m.
The order shall be to prohibit any person from driving any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 mph on the following roads for their entire length unless otherwise stated; East Lancashire Road - slip road between numbers 199 and 265 (full length of slip road), Anson Road.
Proposed Parallel Zebra Crossing, Overdale, Salford:
Notice is hereby given that council of the city of Salford, in exercise of its powers under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, intend to construct a controlled (Parallel) Zebra crossing on Overdale, Salford.
Parallel (Zebra) Crossing: The Parallel Zebra Crossing will be 5.5m in width and 7.5m in length with zig – zags extending to 17m in a south westerly direction and 21m in a north easterly direction from the mid-point of the crossing. The mid-point of the crossing will be located 138.5m south west of the western extended kerb line of Barton Road.
The proposed restrictions will help manage traffic in the area by preventing vehicles from parking close to the junctions, allowing local business opportunity to load and unload vehicles safely, provide safe crossing point for school children on Overdale, improve sight lines and encourage more cycling and walking in the area. Overall, the proposals will ensure that accessibility for local residents and service vehicles is available, as well as assisting in the general safe movement of vehicles, pedestrian and cyclists in the area.
A copy of the orders and plans will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, please ensure that the Gateway is open before attending.
