The Crescent

Salford City Council, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, intend to place a new Sparrow Crossing on A6 The Crescent. The midpoint of the crossing will be located 30.9 metres south east from the extended south eastern kerbline of University Road. The Sparrow Crossing will be 8.4 metres in width, 17.35 metres in length with zig–zags extending to:

South eastbound carriageway:

• One metre north west on lane two north west from the crossing
• Four metres north west on bus lane north west from the crossing
• Four metres south east on both lanes south east from the crossing

North westbound carriageway:                                                                      

• Three metres north west on lane two north west from the crossing
• Zero metre north west on bus lane north west from the crossing
• One metre south east on both lanes south east from the crossing

of the midpoint of the Sparrow Crossing.

The relevant plan for this proposal may be examined until 4 October 2021 at Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday quoting reference L/AF/OUT1093/950 (due to the COVID-19 restrictions please ensure that the Civic Centre is open before attending).
